In order for this to work you need to have your nameservers pointed to Onyx and have enabled the Onyx DNS tool.
Pointing your domains' email to Krystal's cPanel Hosting will be done in 2 steps. Firstly changing the DNS, and secondly changing your email routing in cPanel's SpamExperts filter.
Open the Onyx DNS tool for your domain by following the following steps:
Once you’re on the DNS Tool for your domain we are going to add the MX records for Krystal's cPanel Hosting. These records are:
You will need to create an individual entry in the DNS tool for each of the rows above. After all records exist in your DNS tool it will take anything from 1 hour to 72 hours for these values to propagate and for email to flow through to your Krystal cPanel Hosted Email.
Now that your DNS is hosted by Onyx our cPanel Spam filter will want to redirect email to Onyx. However, given Onyx has no mail servers this will fail without some adjustments to point the filter directly at the cPanel server your email service is hosted on. To configure this correctly follow these steps:
The Strike interface will now load and will look like the above screenshot.
From the Strike interface click Destinations underneath the Incoming heading. Click the blue Show Results button and a list will appear that includes a routing entry for your email. It looks like the above screenshot. If you click the little down arrow next to the checkbox and click Edit it will open the pop-up we require.
In the pop-up which opens you will need to enter the full server hostname. If you are unsure what this should be feel free to open a live chat and ask our team. In this example we are using our Zeus server. Once you've entered the hostname click Save.
That's it! Your Onyx account is now configured to point to cPanel correctly. If you run into any issues just let our support team know.
