SpamExperts allows you to configure rules that override the spam filter for selected recipients and senders. It is important to note that this rule only turns off the content filtering. If the senders mail server is badly configured, does not comply with open standards, or is itself listed on a realtime blacklist then it will not be possible to whitelist (blacklisting always works).
Rules which block are known as Blacklistings and rules which allow are called Whitelistings. You can block or allow either by providing a fully email address e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org, or by simply adding the domain name e.g. example.com - the latter would block or allow ALL traffic related to a certain domain.
This tutorial assumes you have already successfully logged into your cPanel.
Accessing the SpamExperts System
You can access the SpamExperts configuration settings for your cPanel account via the Mail section, and clicking on the SpamExperts icon.
Select the appropriate action
Click on the appropriate button, corresponding to what kind of rule you wish to create. Here is a brief description:
Whitelisting a friendly sender
After clicking the Sender whitelist button, just fill in the whole email address or just the domain name (in this case, simply example.com) as shown - and click the Add button. Now all email from the address or domain will not be scanned for spam.
Blacklisting an unwanted sender
After clicking the Sender blacklist button, just fill in the whole email address or just the domain name (in this case, simply annoyingdomain.com) as shown - and click the Add button. Now all email from the address or domain will be blocked.
Removing a previous Whitelisting or Blacklisting
When clicking any of the whitelisting or blacklisting buttons from SpamExperts's main screen, you will be able to see a list of the existing entries towards the top of the screen. Just check the tickbox against the entry you wish to remove, and select Remove from the dropdown control below, and click Apply.
