Web Hosting Technical Customer Support Agent

Salary:
£18,000 - £24,000

+ Up to £12,000 London Weighting


We are looking for two customer support agents to join our friendly team of highly skilled staff. Your primary role is to provide support to our 20,000+ clients via tickets, live chat and phone. As a result you must be organised, efficient and customer focused. Once up to speed we expect our support staff to be able to handle 90%+ of incoming requests without needing to escalate. Our fleet runs cPanel and a LAMP stack, so familiarity with these technologies is essential.

You’ll also be required to act as remote eyes and hands around the DC floor. Everything you need to know will be taught on the job and there's scope for additional training via courses to develop your career.

Based out of our Bermondsey office/datacentre, you would join a company of 25 like-minded individuals, most of who work remotely. You will work alongside a colleague each shift.

About this role:

Based on site in our London data centre, you will be working with both Krystal and Netwise, primarily providing technical support for Krystal and Netwise clients via support tickets, live chat and phone support and also providing remote hands within the data centre itself when required. London weighting & housing assistance included with role.

Essential requirements:

  • "Autonomously Excellent" - you possess the skill set required to self-solve a wide range of problems, and when you don't know how immediately, you figure a solution out
  • Experienced with cPanel & WHM
  • Polite, industrious and professional at all times
  • Security conscious
  • A native/fluent-level English speaker
  • Living in the UK (and have the right to work here)
  • Excellent customer service skills

Highly desirable experience:

  • WHMCS
  • OnApp, LAMP, SSH
  • Knowledge of end user applications such as Wordpress, Joomla, Magento etc
  • Understanding of mod security and security best practises
